Does running GuiXT on an ITS server negatively effect performance in any way? Consequently, is there a need for more robust ITS hardware if GuiXT is implemented?

SAP has measured the GuiXT impact on the ITS performance. The result is favourable. The general GuiXT overhead is very low compared to the html generation. And if complex screens are simplified with GuiXT, the ITS response is actually faster, since it takes less time for GuiXT to delete the fields than for the ITS agate process to generate html. But one should observe that the GuiXT scripts should be stored locally on the ITS machine, or the GuiXT script cache should be used. Otherwise the network and RFC times (for access to SAP web repository) can slow down the GuiXT work.
