Tests and Validation
After the technical migration, a careful testing phase is required to ensure that all processes are correctly represented and supported by CIS mobile. This chapter describes typical test scenarios and validation steps in the SAP system and in CIS mobile.

1. Prepare Test Environment
  • Use a separate test system or current system copy
  • Ensure that the CRM add-on is active
  • All relevant customizing objects are available and assigned

2. Transaction CRMD_ORDER – Test Cases
  • Create a new case (e.g., visit) with partner roles
  • Assign classification and characteristics
  • Test status changes (Open → Closed)
  • Check texts and fact profiles

3. Validation in CIS mobile
  • Display activities in list view
  • Check filter function by customer, status, time
  • Display detail view with partner data, reports, and classification
  • Gather and synchronize feedback

4. Advanced Test Scenarios
  • PDF generation for visit reports (if activated)
  • Check integration with other modules (e.g., tasks, campaigns)
  • Test batch processes, RFCs, or workflows (optional)

Through structured testing, potential gaps in migration can be identified and resolved early. Successful validation is the basis for the productive use of CIS mobile in the new CRM environment.
