In the context of service orders, it is often necessary to inform specific people directly about the progress or completion of a job. This is typically done when generating a work report, which can automatically be sent as a PDF via email.

The configuration allows defining whether only the contact persons of the bill-to party should be available for selection or if the contacts of the ship-to party should also be shown.

• Contact persons for bill-to party: If enabled, the selection field will only show contacts linked to the customer defined as the bill-to party in the SAP system.
• Contact persons for ship-to party: If this option is also enabled, contacts of the ship-to party will be available for selection. This is particularly useful when delivery is made to a different address and communication with the local contact is needed.

• When entering a confirmation, a contact person can be selected who will automatically receive the work report (PDF) by email.
• The contact list is shown as a dropdown field with names, email addresses, and optionally further contact data.
• The selected language of the report also depends on the form settings.

Contact persons must be properly maintained in the SAP system and correctly assigned to the respective business partners. This ensures that the selection list in the confirmation screen is useful and complete.
