📋 Chapter: Work Centers

In CIS mobile, work centers play a key role in planning and executing service orders. They define where and by whom a task is performed – for example in a workshop, by a technician on site, or within a specific internal unit.

🔧 Configurable Parameter: Work Center Type

In the configuration, a specific work center type can be defined (e.g., 0003). This serves as a filter for which work centers are displayed in the application. Only work centers with the specified type are shown in:

  • The dispatching board for scheduling service orders
  • The confirmation screen (work report entry)
  • Various selection lists when creating tasks

This allows relevant work centers to be displayed only to the appropriate users – for example, mobile technicians, internal staff, or dispatchers.

Example: If 0003 is defined as the work center type, CIS mobile will only display work centers that match this type. Others will be excluded.

💡 Note on the Dispatching Board (Leitstand)

For use of the dispatching board – a separate Windows-based tool for graphical scheduling – please note:

  • The dispatching board accesses the same work centers as CIS mobile.
  • The work center type also applies as a filter in the board.
  • Important: The board is not part of the web application and must be installed separately on Windows systems.

However, configuration is still managed centrally through CIS mobile – all settings apply to both the HTML and the Windows interface.
