Plants
In the configuration for the service module, plants play a central role. They define the logistical
framework for handling and processing service orders – particularly in relation to material supply,
storage locations, vehicle assignment, and movement types.
Configurable Parameters in the "Plants" Section

Usage in the Application
- In service orders, the plant is essential for material withdrawals, transfers, and
logistics logic.
- When ordering material (e.g., "Order for vehicle 9000"), the relevant storage location
is derived from the configured plant and storage rules.
- During confirmations (work reports), the planning plant determines backend processing
in SAP.
- In the planning board / dispatch view, filtering by plant helps to manage relevant
tasks per location or team.
